Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 revealed

Activision and Infinity Ward have just revealed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The blockbuster shooter is launching later this year on October 23rd for Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 5, and as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. In a surprising twist, Modern Warfare 4 will also be available at launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.

We will probably see even more of this game during the Xbox Games Showcase, which takes place on June 7.

Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 4 - Official Trailer

Following Xbox's major policy shift and price restructuring earlier this year, blockbuster franchises like Call of Duty are no longer part of the day-one Game Pass lineup. Fans will have to wait exactly one year after release before Modern Warfare 4 hits Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

The stakes have never been higher for the campaign. Picking up in the chaotic aftermath of Modern Warfare 3 - which left Task Force 141 reeling from the tragic loss of a legendary ally - Captain Price has officially gone rogue. Consumed by a relentless desire for vengeance, Price is tearing up the rulebook to hunt down Vladimir Makarov on his own terms.

This time, the global powder keg ignites along the heavily fortified border of North and South Korea, delivering a ripped-from-the-headlines narrative that hits terrifyingly close to home. From the trenches of the Korean DMZ to the war-torn streets of Paris and New York City, the battlelines have shifted globally. It looks like we’re going to be in for one hell of a fight.
