Aniimo on Xbox Game Pass: Out Now

Aniimo is a next-generation open-world RPG set in the vibrant, fantasy-meets-sci-fi realm of Idyll. It blends creature collecting, real-time action combat, photography, and environmental platforming into a single adventure.

Aniimo launches on September 16. It will be available Day One for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC across Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, Game Pass Essential, and PC Game Pass, followed by the Mobile launch on September 23.

The server launch times are as follows:

• Aniimo-Americas: September 15 at 22:00 (UTC-4)
• Aniimo-Apac: September 16 at 10:00 (UTC+8)
• Aniimo-Europe: September 16 at 02:00 (UTC+0)

The Aniimo Together! event is a pre-launch community campaign running from September 12 to September 27 (UTC+8) that allows players to stock up on in-game items before stepping into Idyll.

You capture wild creatures called Aniimo using device cubes known as Aniipods. However, Aniimo isn't just about catching and fighting - it incorporates a heavy photography element reminiscent of Pokémon Snap. Observing creatures in their natural habitats, documenting their specific behaviors, and capturing photos builds out your Aniilog encyclopedia and unlocks extra rewards.

While basic captures rely on standard Aniipods, higher-tier gear changes your tactical approach:

• Aniipod Ultra: Guarantees a successful capture on difficult targets.
• Tumbler: Allows you to capture multiple wild Aniimo in a single throw.
• Eggs & Events: You can also stumble across hidden Eggs while exploring or earn unique companions through special world events.

Twining is Aniimo’s standout mechanic that allows your human character to seamlessly merge with and directly control your Aniimo in real time:

• In Combat: Instead of shouting orders from the sidelines, you take direct control of the creature to dodge, attack, and execute abilities.
• In Exploration: Morphing into different creatures opens up the open world like a puzzle. You can swim with aquatic Aniimo, reach high vantage points with flying creatures, or sprint across plains using larger mounts.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers get access to an exclusive monthly Aniimo reward pack. Each monthly drop includes:
