• Custom Character Creation: Players create their own recruit and play through a complete, narrative-driven campaign with a distinct beginning, middle, and end.
• Boxed Campaign Structure: The game is designed as a complete, standalone "boxed" experience rather than a heavy live-service seasonal model.
• Co-Op & Multiplayer Potential: While focused on a core story, Blizzard has not ruled out co-operative modes or multiplayer integration - likely drawing on tech and concepts from Overwatch and the canceled Titan project.

The narrative takes place 70 years after the events of StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void. This multi-decade time jump gives the writing team clean creative slate to explore altered faction dynamics, shifting political alliances, and an entirely new cast of characters.
