Xbox Update Dossier: Mythic Achievement Discovered in Xbox PC App

[Update 2] After a tease from Xbox Boss Asha Sharma, an undefined achievement for Gears of War: E-Day, the name in a filter, the name Mythic Achievement has been found in the Xbox PC App. Alongside the name, the symbol and unlock sound were revealed.

Earlier an Xbox user spotted the name in the filters, clearly revealing Mythic Achievement twice. Although that doesn’t confirm that this is the name for the specific achievement, we expect that it will be introduced when Gears of War: E-Day releases October 6.

[Update] Among the 50 achievements revealed for the upcoming prequel is a specific 0-point unlock titled "The Lucky Ones Died on E-Day." Its requirement? Earn all other Achievements. This sounds very much like the equivalent of the Platinum Trophy that Sony is using for their PlayStation ecosystem.

[Original report] Alongside the new sorting options rolling out, Xbox leadership has dropped a massive hint regarding the future of Xbox Achievements.

In response to a player asking when Xbox will finally introduce an equivalent to PlayStation's iconic Platinum Trophies (awarded for 100% completion of a game's achievement list), Xbox CEO Asha Sharma teased that the feature is officially in development:

While Xbox pioneered the modern achievement system with Gamerscore back on the Xbox 360, completionists have long requested a distinct visual milestone or reward for earning 100% of a title's achievements. With Microsoft continually refining the dashboard experience - and Xbox's 25th anniversary on the horizon - this teased feature could mark the biggest evolution of the Gamerscore system in years.
