Mythic Achievement pops-up in Xbox PC app

After a tease from Xbox Boss Asha Sharma, an undefined achievement for Gears of War: E-Day, the name in a filter, the name Mythic Achievement has been found in the Xbox PC App. Alongside the name, the symbol and unlock sound were revealed.

Earlier an Xbox user spotted the name in the filters, clearly revealing Mythic Achievement twice. Although that doesn’t confirm that this is the name for the specific achievement, we expect that it will be introduced when Gears of War: E-Day releases October 6.

This follows the mysterious achievement for Gears of War: E-Day. Among the 50 achievements revealed for the upcoming prequel is a specific 0-point unlock titled "The Lucky Ones Died on E-Day." Its requirement? Earn all other Achievements.

For PlayStation players, this concept is instantly recognizable as the Platinum Trophy - a dedicated badge of honor awarded solely for unlocking every base-game trophy. While Xbox introduced the modern achievement system back in 2005, it has historically lacked a singular completion reward, relying instead on total Gamerscore metrics.

Speculation around a system overhaul intensified recently after Asha Sharma responded to a community question on X, confirming that Xbox is actively working on achievement updates targeted for release later this year. The inclusion of a 0-point completion trigger in E-Day suggests Microsoft may be testing backend framework changes ahead of a broader system-wide rollout.
