How to get Chromite in Palworld

Challenge

Chromite is a critical resource needed for high-tier gear and base upgrades, but it cannot be found in the starting regions.

Solution

You can get Chromite by exploring Feybreak Island. The Chromite nodes are not visible at first. You need a metal detector or capture the Pal called Smokie. After capturing Smokie you have to unlock Smokie’s Harness in the Technology tab and craft it using a Pal Gear Workbench to unlock his dig ability.

You can scour Feybreak Island and either use the Metal Detector or summon Smokie. They will become visible by popping-up.

When you find some nodes you can use any high-tier mining, like the Pal Metal Pickaxe.

Best Location(s)

Feybreak Island. You can find it pretty much everywhere on this island, but if you want a sure shot, try coordinates -1191, -1254.

Requirements

Tool: Metal Detector (needs 30 Plasteel, 100 Paladium Fragment, 15 Computer, 20 Nightstar Sand).
