When is the open beta starting?

Weekend One (Early Access Beta): Running from August 21 to August 25, this weekend is locked in for players who have pre-ordered the game across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Weekend Two (Open Beta): Running from August 28 to September 1, this round opens the floodgates to everyone on all platforms - no pre-order required - and officially brings Nintendo Switch 2 players into the mix.

Modern Warfare 4 Beta: Content Overview

Drop straight into a massive rotation of multiplayer maps and modes. You can pick from an armory of 19 different weapons and a brand-new roster of Operators, including exclusive Vault Edition skins for pre-order buyers. Test your skills in everything from tight 3v3 skirmishes and vehicular tank warfare to classic Search & Destroy, the brand-new Kill Block mode, and the Training Mobility Course.

Expect smooth, fluid movement and top-tier ballistics. Build your custom loadouts with a little help from Gunny, and level up to unlock Tacticals, Lethals, Field Upgrades, Perks, and Killstreaks.

Game Release

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is launching later this year on October 23rd, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Note that Call of Duty installments are no longer day-one releases on Game Pass. Instead, players will have to wait exactly one year after launch before the game hits the service.
